Brad Gilbert / President
When not snowboarding or playing with his son Miles, Brad serves as President and General Manager of People Productions. A graduate of Amherst College, Brad has been working in media production since 1984 when he helped create People Productions with original owner Charlie Stein. Since that time Brad has brought his talents in writing, editing, directing and producing to a wide range of clients, from top national corporations to local humanitarian organizations. In 1991, Brad purchased the company outright and got kicked upstairs to management, where he can often be found taking your lunch order. While this serves his left brain well, his right brain longs for one last edit session. In any case, he is determined to make People Productions a fun and rewarding place for anyone who walks in the door. |

Don Poe / Production Manager Don likes to travel. A lot. From Thailand to Russia to the Amazon to Egypt to China to some of the nicer beaches of the world, well you get the picture; you don't need a full list. Don really enjoys cycling and swimming, no group sports for him! Once he gets home, he'll pick up a book and read for hours - if you have been a frequent reader of this space you will know of his love of Russian Lit from the 1800s, but he has since moved on to other genre's as he has exhausted all the books from this period and as the authors like Tolstoy are all dead, it really puts a crimp in their new output. When not reading or in the water, Don will almost always be listening to some weird music. Take a look at www.muteelation.com/cdlist.html for an idea of his tastes (or lack thereof!) Don started working with computer graphics in seventh grade and won a graphic design contest in high school. Too bad it all stopped there. Now, he just hacks away at an Avid, Final Cut Pro, or After Effects, Motion and DVD Studio Pro until he accidentally creates something really nice. No, no, just kidding! His works have been shown around the world in film festivals and have won the top awards at the Telluride Mountain Film Festival, the US International Film & Video Festival, The Denver Film Festival and the Banff Film Festival, among others. He is also a frequent teacher for Boulder Digital Arts. |

Marya Read / Creative Director Marya rarely does anything halfway - so none of us were too surprised when she instantly became a Mom of two very active young kids last year. After 25+ years in production, her skills in project management and creative problem solving are really being put to the test! After years in ad agencies and directing commercials in LA, Marya decided to redirect her energies toward education and corporate communications. In 1992, while living in Steamboat, she came looking for a production company on the Front Range that could do some of the work she was flying to LA to edit. She landed at People Productions and has been working with us ever since. When she's not producing and directing one of our many video or interactive projects, Marya can be found at the helm of Intrepid Films, a partner of People Productions that focuses on producing media for schools and universities. |

Monique Paradis / Office Manager Monique's first job was as a Girl Scout camp counselor! After a few years as a head bank teller, she decided to do something more creative. She changed careers starting as an intern for People Productions, willing to learn anything and everything about video production. That, combined with her math and computer skills, led to her current position, managing both the office and the accounting department for People Productions. Monique loves camping and building campfires, going to the movies, going to concerts of her favorite artists, listening to music, and watching the Xena, Warrior Princess television series! Monique also plays basketball, tennis, soccer, karate, darts, pool, card games, board games and archery. Her hobbies include watercolor painting, working on her family tree research project, traveling and taking pictures. Monique's favorite musicians are the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge. She really loves to see the Indigo Girls in concert and rock out! With her heart felt efforts, she strongly supports the non-profit group Honor The Earth at www.honorearth.org. "It took a long time to become the thing I am to you. And you won't tear it apart without a fight, without a heart. It took a long time to become you, become you." -- Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls |

Zach Daudert / Web Development Zach is a "tinkerer" by nature and stays constantly immersed in some kind of "project". Presently affected by a horticultural addiction, he spends an undisclosed amount of time, energy and expendable income at nurseries or digging holes and moving rocks during the summer. During the (long) winter he will complain about the weather and attempt escaping to the tropics. Otherwise; Zach has a name that makes very little sound but provides a use for the letter Z. He often swallows multivitamins with a beer. Someday Zach hopes to own a mad laboratory (in the tropics?). He has been involved with video and interactive media since his first internship at his hometown cable news station in 1992. Having been extensively involved in traditional video production, new media, web development and streaming media, Zach can advise customers on the most intelligent strategy for utilizing and combining media technologies, or engage them in very long, geeky and acronym riddled conversations. In 2004 he co-founded Boulder Digital Arts with Bruce Borowsky for reasons he'll never fully understand. |

Antony Cooper / Producer - Director - Writer After years of only studio sunshine in his native England, Antony moved to sunny Colorado, the perfect spot to grow with his wife & two boys. Several years in music TV production for MTV and Polygram Records include names such as the Rolling Stones, the Who, Elvis Costello and INXS. He spent some years as manager of on-air operations for the Denver based Scandinavian Channel. Antony enjoys directing a broad variety of projects for People Productions. From commercials to drama to training, every project brings something new. Scariest shoot: on the Apple 1984 commercial set when over one hundred skinheads started to riot. Most relaxing shoot: standing in the Colorado river for three days waiting for our TV fishing host to catch a trout. |

Bruce Borowsky / Video Production Before joining People Productions over seven years ago as a full-time producer, Bruce produced a national television series for the Outdoor Channel on rock climbing and mountaineering. Christian McCarthy / Web Developer An attempt to ease the tension between the left and right hemispheres of Christian's brain led to a career in web design and development. Educated as a scientist, the curiosity of how our world works has always factored into his approach toward life; including experiences such as working as a plumber, a research physicist, and inventor of new kinds of tire sealant. Providing an artistic fix that science couldn't provide, web development evolved into his career back in 1999. Christian enjoys using cycling and nordic skiing to ease his mind into a state of emptiness, but the time spent with endurance sports was originally motivated by competition. A 20 year veteran of cycling, Christian spent several seasons as a professional cyclist and is a member of the Vitamin Cottage Cycling Team, currently the top ranked amateur racing team in the U.S. Unable to cast off the Curse of Chief Niwot, Christian has moved back to Boulder on four separate occasions starting in 1971 and lives with his lovely wife and awesome son in mighty Martin Acres. |

Keiran Flanigan / Web Developer When not diligently sitting in front of a computer screen at work, Keiran can usually be found diligently sitting in front of a computer screen at home (he'll just have his feet up). Keiran is as close to a Colorado native as one can get, having lived here for all but his first year of life (which doesn't really count anyway, right?). Having discovered a natural passion for filmmaking in his childhood, he partook in various high school film clubs and groups, ultimately deciding to go to the University of Colorado to pursue a degree in film (and quite accidently, he emerged with three...) A self-instated graphic designer originally (and by hobby), Keiran has always enjoyed the challenges of self-teaching. Since becoming a web designer (somewhat by default), he has continued to add to his arsenal of digital and developmental weaponry (though his forte will perhaps always be Photoshop). Also, he likes parentheses (sorry). Outside of the world of the digital, Keiran is an avid runner, soccer player and racquetball player, though he's willing to play anything offered (except for golf, just because...he doesn't really see the fun). |

Karalyn Capone / DVD Production On a daily basis, Karalyn treks down from high atop the Rocky Mountains to join the team at People Productions. A lover of the mountains, and an extra-long commute, Karalyn has lived in Colorado since 2001. Uprooted from Boston, she sought out the Boulder-area because of her interest in strong cups of coffee, cacti and long winding dirt roads. Leading a double life, you'll be able to catch Karalyn in action at People Productions as one of our DVD Authorers and Final Cut Pro Editors. Stop by and see Karalyn if you're interested in creating a unique DVD project or just wanna talk shop about motorcycles. Her other life exists in the mountains, where she desperately tries to preserve life as it was in the 1800s, living only by candlelight and cooking over an open fire each evening with only her pet mountain lion Pookie at her side. After work, Karalyn hides deep in the mountains west of Boulder. She can't be found on the weekends because she is a constantly preparing for the long winter by stockpiling cords of wood, making large pots of soup and trying to locate several things simultaneously. In between commuting, Karalyn enjoys Digital Photography, Endurance Blogging, Garlic, Ginger, Springboard Diving and old BMW Motorcycles. |

Andrew Brislin / Post-Production After trading the humid heat of Alabama for the dry cold of Colorado, Andrew decided to make music and audio production the central focus of his life. While mastering the art of listening, he was given some advice... "learn all you can about video in addition to your audio studies. "He took this advice to heart and began teaching himself video editing and DVD authoring. Combining these new talents with his graphic design skills, he began producing CDs and authoring DVDs for local bands. After a brief stint as an engineer in a recording studio, Andrew began doing more audio for video. His audio mix for the documentary "Between Earth and Sky" premiered at the Telluride Mountain Film Festival in 2004 and won "Best Adventure Film" at the Boulder Adventure Film Festival in 2005. When not in front of his digital workstation, Andrew enjoys making music, running with scissors and playing with fire. |
