One of the great things about working in technology is all the cool toys. Our video folks have all the latest and greatest hardware. From acquisition (DV/DVCAM/HDV/Etc.) to real-time SD and HD post in FCP or AVID. And when the video’s done we can deliver it in whatever way necessary: tape, DVD, QuickTime, Windows Media, Flash, DIVX you name it! We also build wicked cool WC3 spec compliant HTML and XHTML websites making heavy use of CSS for layout and style while sprinkling in some Flash and rich media goodness where appropriate. Speaking of Flash, we’re loving the new VP6 codec with it’s alpha channel capabilities. On the backend we go both ways. We build sophisticated web applications using .NET/ASP with a MS SQL Server DB including WYSIWYG enabled CMS systems and AJAXed out web-based applications but, at the same time, were really digging the simplicity of Ruby and Rails with a MySQL DB.

Ok, so we all have to make a living somehow, right? There’s those pesky mortgages, kid’s expenses, transportation devices and ipods we need to pay for. And as long as we’re going to have to spend all this time working, it might as well be something we’re interested in, like video production and web development. Truth is we’d probably be playing with video gear and web technology anyway so we decided we might as well get paid for pursuing our passions.
